"My goal with this album was to challenge myself and try to create a soundtrack for an imaginary videogame. In my head, I pictured a classic RPG and therefore aimed to achieve an ambient/minimalist mood for the songs.
'Nightshift' is divided into separate chapters, each representing a given part of the story and a particular mood. For this reason, the flow of the album might not be as fluent as my other records'.
Creating loopable, yet exciting music was the most difficult aspect of the writing process. When writing music for a game, one shouldn't forget that the songs will be on repeat for minutes, maybe even hours. Consequently, I tried to hold myself back from incorporating more than 2 or 3 themes into a song."
