Salient Angle

from Mentality by Peter Blaise

/

about

I wrote the intro right before I left home for something. I recorded it with my cheap mobile phone and finished the song when I came back.
It is the strangest sounding song I've ever written and for that reason, the working title of the song was "weirdness". I really don't know the key of the song but it is probably in D something (D didli dudli). Writing the solo was pretty difficult for that reason, since I couldn't really improvise anything.
The second part of the song features some samples of a guy reading out a book through a vocoder. The vocoder plays the same notes as the bass guitar.
